CONTEX is a pioneer in collecting old textiles via containers and also carries out professionally organised street collections. The textile and shoe disposal is a free service in the interest of our environment, which reduces the workload of the government and creates jobs. Numerous small and large non-profit institutions profit from the revenue from the collections.
CONTEX AG, since the 1st January
2011, has been taken over by the Schattdorf-based company TEXAID
Textilverwertungs-AG. TEXAID and CONTEX will continue their business
activities with the collection and utilization of old textiles retaining
their previous names. However, in the areas of logistics and the
merchandising of old textiles, valuable synergies may arise. For example,
the collections will become more efficient and thus more ecological. |
